I can still smell the chemicals on the paper booklet that came with the CD. Almost like new car smell but more like new album smell. It’s still there and is I think the only CD I have that is like that. In some messed up kind of way, it still feels like a fresh new album of theirs 24 years later.

I was exceptionally pleased at PJ20 when all three tunes from the GTF single were played at the same show.

Happy Birthday, Yield! Still the best.

I'm so glad to have been 19 when Yield came out. It is the soundtrack to many great memories, but another thing I love about Yield is that my friends in college, with very different musical tastes, played it as much as I did and considered it a great record.

Yeah, I remember there was a Yield listening party in Colonie, NY - I think it was an FYE in the mall. I got a bunch of weird Yield swag there, including a giant sticker Yield sign that had “PEARL JAM” instead of “YIELD” in the writing and used that as a poster in dorm rooms and such for years. I might still have some of that stuff, I think there was a fake backstage pass or something also. Those were the days…

I always wondered why the song order in the booklet is different. Does anybody know?

They had a billboard outside of Athens, GA and a listening party at the Georgia Theater. Given to Fly was in regular rotation on the rock radio. It was also the first time they'd done interviews since I'd become a fan in 1995. I remember seeing Ed give 3 or 4 different inspirations for the lyrics to In Hiding which I loved. Felt like a Bob Dylan thing to do.

I took a girlfriend to the midnight release and she wanted to talk in the car. I missed the Yield sign by ONE person! I still haven't forgiven her.

Nice time to rewatch this:

Is there a fan edit Touring Band but from 1998 or something like that? I guess I just better watch a full concert.

the yield tour was my first time seeing pearl jam live. i must have been 14. i've also watched SVT close to 1,000 times. this album is incredible. i think GTF and DTE are both top 10 pj songs.

1- MFC
2- Push me, Pull me
3- Do the Evolution
4- Faithfull
5- Brain of J
6- Lowlight
7- Wishlist
8- Given to Fly
9- In Hiding
10- Pilate
11- No Way
12- (red dot)
13- All those yesterdays

Ok, this is the booklet order. Was this suppose to be the tracklist? It makes way too much sense to just be random? Did they changed the order before it's release. Like they did with Binaural only this time no one knows?

Listen to the album in that order and see if it works? The current or final sequence is pretty great for me - it flows really well.
