I've never given numerical rankings

Vitalogy: 10
Ten: 10
Vs: 9
Lightning Bolt: 8
Backspacer: 8
S/t: 7
Yield: 7
No Code: 6
Binaural: 5
Riot Act: 5

These rankings are internal to the catalog. I still love Riot Act more than most other records I own

Self Titled over Yield and No Code. You're insane. Objectively insane.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

S/t and Yield are basically tied. But S/T's top songs aren't as played out as Yields.

Yield is a collection of strong, well-written & well-recorded songs. Self-titled is a collection of generic, poorly-written and badly-recorded crap. That's why S/T belongs at the bottom and Yield at the top. I can't even imagine how anyone could find them "equals", but leave it to stip.

With proper rectal control, anything is possible.

There are uncharitable days where I feel like people who are uniformly blown away by yield are just too easily impressed.

I think you just described the target audience PJ had in mind with Yield.

I love playing nonsense. I am going to love it even more when this list gets shredded:

1. No Code (10/10)
2. Vitalogy (10/10)
3. Ten (10/10)
4. Vs. (10/10)
5. Yield (10/10)
6. Lightning Bolt (10/10)
7. s/t (9.5/10)
8. Binaural (9/10)
9. Riot Act (8.5/10)
10. Backspacer (7.5/10)

If I were to number rank a few related side albums: Mirrorball/Merkinball (10/10), Into the Wild (10/10), Temple of the Dog (10/10), Ukelele Songs (9.5/10), Moonlander (9/10), Bayleaf (9/10), Tres Mts (8/10), Acts (8/10)...I'm not engaging in any more of these.

For the nrecord, Lost Dogs would also be an 8.5/10 for me.
