totally

and on those 00 shows, Rival was way more rocking than in the album. The guitars attacked the song and it sounded awesome.

Rival from the 2000 tour is fantastic. One of my favorite Binaural songs.

Sarcastic comments like "Who would want 72 bootlegs? I thought they broke up 10 years ago." were common.

So it felt like you were part of a special club. Not the (deleted by management) club.

They hadn't become an over-commercialized nostalgia act yet.

Philly 2009 put a permanent end to that.

Return to form.
It was a blessing and a curse at the same time. I miss that.

I think a lot of Binaural is better live, especially Rival and Grievance.

Parting Ways is one Binaural song where I prefer the album version.

They did it in Nashville in ‘03. I could’ve gotten so many crossed off my list if I’d gone to that one.

03 tour was great. Saw Cleveland and Albany that year.

The version of Crazy Mary from Phoenix 2000 is the best version they ever played. I will die on that hill.

Binaural is a great guitar record. The tour proved that. Almost every song got better live.

My parents had a flight into Boise today and I thought about how at the 2000 show there Ed talked about how impressed they were with the crowd and said they would never skip Boise again and now it’s been 25 years and they've never been back.

There are myths that you can still access Gremmie's basement and get just about any show from this tour (provided you don't want the physical media) if one only knows the ways.

With the Matt news, it got me thinking of this tour. It's the one that really solidified me in the PJ fandom world, although my first concert with them was Yield '98 (Greenville, SC). I love the 2000 tour and had fun talking about it over the years with RM (more on the old boards I think). This is still the tour I largely go to when I want my live PJ fix, and have probably listened to: Detroit, Katowice 2, Jones Beach 3, Pittsburg, Boise, Tampa, and Milan the most. Now might be a good time to go back and revisit these shows. Will also go back and list to the RM European leg compilation, 'Alone & Far Away"; I remember loving that one.
