I watched Dean Norris on "Morning Joe". Seemed like a really good guy.

Me too. I didn't start until season 4 was airing (binged on Netflix seasons 1 - 3 and watched the then-currently-airing season 4 by navigating a treacherous minefield of shady streaming sites).

About the ricin: At first I thought it can't possibly be Walts plan to kill himself with it because there are way better and less painful ways to do that but maybe he is planning something that might get himself either killed or caught. He might be planning his last revenge mission against the Aryan Brotherhood. If he somehow gets caught by the police he won't rot in prison for his last months but die of the ricin within 3 days. Some kind of death insurance.
