The earlier, poppier stuff was better than the straight rock stuff.

Well, that would be a pretty sweet trick.

I am not a FF hater but would not call myself a fan either. I have a couple of their earlier albums. Their music just doesn't grab me. I do love Dave though. Seems like a hell of a dude.

Everlong and My Hero (which I have heard is about Kurt Cobain....not sure though) are fantastic songs.

I lived and breathed the first Foo Fighters album the summer it came out. I didn't like Monkey Wrench or Everlong so I didn't get the next one.

They have a few songs I like, but best if you and hero are two of the most annoying songs I've ever heard.

I don't understand the love for "Heroes and Villains". I'd really like to see what everyone loves so much about that one as I really like most of Pet Sounds. Might be that I just really dislike that kind of singing in the part from 0:50 onwards. The "la la la"-singing from 1:30 onwards is also something that just doesn't sound pleasant to me.
