I was never a huge fan of AIC even with Layne. JoF is wonderful. Dirt is good. I’m really not a fan of anything else AIC has done. So my interest in post Layne AIC is basically zero.

Self titled is better than dirt. Facelift blows, give me any of the William albums over that one.

I like Dirt the best by a long shot.
I don't really get the love for Jar of Flies.

Jar of Flies is a masterpiece. It’s by far the best thing AIC ever made and it’s one of the very best albums made in the era.

Having thought about it, I think I like Jar of Flies the least out of the original band's releases.
I listen to Dirt and Facelift the most, I think.

I had forgotten how awesome Black Gives Way To Blue is:
I have no problem with Facelift either. We Die Young, I Can't Remember, Bleed The Freak, It Ain't Like That Dirt is just pure darkness and misery whereas Facelift kind of balances between 80's hair metal and that later era AIC, which I kind of like. I guess my least favorite AIC album is the self titled, the songwriting is just not on the same level as before. I have only checked the first album of the post Layne stuff, but maybe I should check the others too seeing how much some of you have liked the most recent one.
I really like Jerry's solo stuff too, especially Degradation Trip. AIC and Soundgarden are the closest thing to 'metal' on my playlist - never really been into that genre besides those bands.

Degradation Trip Vol 1&2 is fucking awesome.
I still think all the DuVall AIC albums sound like extensions of the Degradation Trip doomy, sludgy sound.
