Re: Star Wars: Rogue One
Seriously i just pictured myself in 10 years. Coming home from living my life and wanting to kick my feet up with a glass of wine. A desire to watch Star Wars and 1,000 Star Wars movies to choose from.
Life is great.
Life is great.

Force Awakens didn't have a lot of individually "bad" lines. It's problem was that 90% of them were either exposition or shouted stage directions. There wasn't a lot below the surface.
"This is a map to Luke Skywalker."
"I will take the map to the Resistance."
"Good. (Looking directly at audience) It's important and there are stakes."
Later...
"Run over here!"
"I can't because I'm fixing a thing!"
"I'm going to try something then, so we can-"
"Wait! Look at those xwings! Those are the resistance!"
"Thank you for explaining that to the audience for me!"

It did. Whatever issues TFA had, visuals was not one of them.Strat wrote:I like the grittier feel, for sure, as it ties in more closely to A New Hope. Just because of the director alone this will be a better movie, but whatever.
Im excited for this. Big time.
And what's extra special awesome is that RO is borrowing some looks from TFA. So there is a visual continuity; these films belong to the same universe/continuity. It's really exciting.

I don't know, Finn's delivery on some lines were very out of place for a Star Wars movie.McParadigm wrote:Force Awakens didn't have a lot of individually "bad" lines. It's problem was that 90% of them were either exposition or shouted stage directions. There wasn't a lot below the surface.

They were though that has more to do with star wars being in the 70's and now here we are in 2016. In a galaxy far far away.E.H. Not at all. I just mean they felt like he was in a present day, earth as the setting, movie. We can't have hipsters and millenials infiltrating the dialogue in a Star Wars movie.LetMeSleep wrote:Is this a race thing?E.H. Im curious as to how much of a HEIST its going to be. They should have just gotten Danny Ocean and Co, really.tragabigzanda wrote:Yea, I'm very excited for the concept -- a heist movie set firmly in the SW universe.
