Don’t they make up a significant portion of his base though?

Considering logging off the internet entirely to avoid the DNC discourse this week.

this DNC is like watching one of those multi-hour weekend morning infomercials where the station just gave up on programming because a football game is on the other channel and it's just not worth attempting to air anything of value

I muted the words "Joe" and"dignity" and yet I'm still seeing all these terrible updates, what the fuck.

As conventions go it’s been above average, to the point where I’m skeptical that anyone who would argue otherwise has actually watched a convention before. I had all number of problems with the choices they made going in, but in practice it’s a marginally effective political ad…presenting a broad and disparate set of voices rather than expressing a narrow vision. That’s about the best a convention can hope to be. Bonus points if there are no balloons.
This year being this year, I wouldn’t expect it to move the dial the way conventions sometimes do. But juxtaposed against the Republican convention, which will have the gun couple, several people named Trump, a picture of a boat, and the drunk spirit of Rudy Giuliani...it feels inviting?

It’s basically just a get out the vote infomercial for anybody who is already remotely thinking that they’ll vote Democrat this year, which all things considered is the best use of the air time.

I'm curious why:
1) CNN had this audio feed
2) They didn't shut it off
They'd been around for some time prior to this. It wasn't their first rodeo.
3) For conventions, I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as too many balloons or too much confetti. The only question is how much money will be left over for campaigning for the general after you blow a ton of money on closing the balloon gap.

It has either played through the audio desk (in which that's a major fuckup) or comms had been fed through the auxillary tracks to the networks ie tracks 3+4 and routed/mapped incorrectly by MCR (in which that's a major fuckup). Was it just this city/network or was it a national blunder??
