I like that instrumental beginning to Who Ever Said and the way it clunks out. But yeah, it's not indicative of that song

it's not indicative of the song, and yet I would hardly call it irrelevant to the flow of the album; these PJ interludes have always been as crucial to me as the songs

The album was laced with little sonic pieces that, while they didn't have their own track, they intro'd and outro'd songs in many cases. I'm using the term to describe space occupied between each song. Call it what you will, it's not just in the opening track. I'm not going to list them all.

there's some Vitalogy-esque warmup before Buckle Up, and a little room noise before River Cross
