As good as Donaldson and Bautista are, I don't know if there's anything I enjoy watching as much as an Edwin Encarnacion homer.
He sure as hell doesn't get cheated. Reminds me a lot of Vlad at the plate.

Except he's super selective instead of free-swinging... but the raw power is similar for sure.

Did you see on his grand-slam yesterday how he looked up because he thought he had popped it up?

I heard Peter Gammons this morning say that the Mets have scored more runs since the All Star break than the Blue Jays. That's pretty shocking.

Yep... 210 to 203, with the Red Sox at 200. The Jays went on a bit of a "slump" in the middle of the month before they wrecked the Angels.

The Sox scored 73 runs in something like 6 days last week.

But i imagine we should be able to get some decent returns for Price, Soria and Cespedes, and I think guys like Simon and Avila could have some value to contending teams.
I don't take much pleasure in asking this because I so desperately wanted things to be different, but are you finally ready to admit that the Verlander contract extension was horrible?

I have some concerns
ha. i'm sure i speak for us both in hoping those concerns are short lived.

I'm feeling better
Verlander be like.....

He has been pretty awesome lately.

I haven't seen that many runs since my Taco Bell days.

I dropped Kyle Seager for him in fantasy when he got the call and I've been reaping the benefits ever since.

I think Roberto Osuna may have to steal a spot on my Franchise team.

He is going to be multiple batting title winner and maybe MVP caliber good. Kid can flat hit.

Mabe we can sweet talk PHATJ into running a Twins team? We need lament's handsomeness, chud's negotiation skills and the muscle of skitch to talk him into it.

It's Young-men, folks!

Insert saw him play in college comment here. Horns down!

But yeah he is damn good. Kinda surprised it took him as long as it did to get called up.

I don't think he'll win any batting titles, but I'm pretty sure he'll win home run titles.

Holy shit Edwin. The atmosphere in Toronto is just insane these days, and today brought it to a new level.
