Re: The Running Thread
I think my mileage has been off, cause I've been using this FitBit without GPS. Apparently for GPS to work you have to have your phone in proximity. I'm sending this one back for a better FitBit with GPS, which also looks better and is easier to read while running with bigger display. Be nice to have elevation measured too, cause of all the hills I traverse.

Awesome, man. Keep it going. Your runs are always fun to see on Strava.ghost wrote:23 miles in two days. Haven't been able to do that for a while. Guh.
I'm finally building mileage in a practical, sustainable way. Honestly think this is the best I've ever felt in my running life. Fueled by strava kudos and chia seeds.

Verb is vanquished? Should I use Strava? What's the appeal?

Thanks ghost. If you run with RM, you can run further than you ever know.
Okay, we should probably either stop right now or take this to r/RunningCircleJerk

There's a really good interview Matt Sweeney did with Tracksmith recently. He touches on this for a section of it. Good convo all around, but here's the part I found relevant.

I love this. I'm gonna try it on my wife next time she gives me the side eye as I leave for a 3 hour run in the middle of a Sunday morning.warshing machine wrote:I feel like anything running does take away, are things you don’t really need anyway.
