Anders wrote:RM is its own world, I know that, and US centric. But it's front page news here and all over Europe. Terribly tragic story. A 28 year athlete, amongst the very best in the world. Just got married, has three small kids. Absolutely beloved by the LFC and Portugal fans. Don't expect anyone here to go about their days in any other way than usual, or react in any way, but this is the R.I.P. thread after all. It's the proper place for it.
yeah, i was joking

it was news here too, not that big of course because we didnt cared much about Liverpool, but still it was shocking enough because of his age.

RIP Jota.

I just saw that Richard Greenberg died of cancer.

Well fuck...

One of our best modern playwrights. His words and art had a tremendous impact on me. It was a scene he wrote that got me to the finals of a regional acting competition back in college. I had no idea he'd passed. A huge loss. Fuck cancer.

I met Malcolm-Jamal Warner once when I was really young. Like eight or nine. He did an event for I think maybe the Just Say No program? Something like that. I don't remember much about the event or the interaction, except that he was really kind to and really funny. And he stayed late (to the frustration of his team) to talk to and take a pic with every single kid that wanted to meet him. Pretty cool dude.

Really sad news. My heart goes out to his family. Just sucks.

I grew up with Theo Huxtable. I still have very fond memories of that show. It wasn’t everybody else’s fault the boss was a fucking monster.

Same here. I hate that that show is tainted because it was such a huge show is my life.
