You must have missed the charges dropped due to a 'mutual combat' determination.

It's probably because an insane number of shootings happen there, yet the media seldom covers it.

I wonder whose talking points are pushed every time sticky posts an isolated shooting in otherwise shooting free areas.

the media doesnt always cover shootings regardless of where they are. did you hear about the police station in aliquippa being fired upon in broad daylight? how about how ambridge is the 6th most dangerous city in Pennsylvania with a crime index of 8? god damn media

Yes clearly Ambridge, PA, population less than 7000, is as newsworthy as Chicago, which has had over 2300 shootings as of September 1st.

A 14 year old with 46 previous charges (caption claims back to when he was 7???) has access to a handgun but presumably no adults in his life that can figure out how to keep him out of this sort of situation?

In certain areas and cultures it's not uncommon for 14 year olds to have their own handgun. Most places and cultures it's not. You'll find most places with excessive firearm murders correlate with the former.

agreed, most places with excessive firearm murders have a higher number of people with guns, including teenagers. if there was less access to guns teenagers wouldn't have them.

agreed, most places with excessive firearm murders have a higher number of people with guns, including teenagers. if there was less access to guns teenagers wouldn't have them.

8th graders carrying handguns with autosears (federal felony) are entirely unrelated to the legal firearm trade. You might get some buy in from the pro 2A crowd if we ever saw a priority on charging and convicting those with illegal firearms. As it is, prosecutions are rare and sometimes politically motivated.

Cops in my locality will frequently seize firearms, but there's no follow up on associated charges. Can't have a disparate impact on those running around with unregistered firearms.
