Kinda makes sense. Allows him to continue a career that he otherwise couldn’t.

I wonder if all sorts of recognizable, aging actors will do the same.

Sean Baker just called Triangle of Sadness his "favorite film of the 21st century". Wow

The trailer is great. If an had been made by a US director, I'd be worried. But I think it's gonna be great.

The subject matter/satire.

Feels like it's tackling the exact kind of thing most US directors could more easily fuck up.

I've only seen one of his movies, which I absolutely loved. But, yeah, I don't really care about his opinions either. Or rather, I don't think his opinions should carry any more or less weight than any other director's.

Sean Baker: Starlet, Tangerine, The Florida Project and Red Rocket, all v good. He watches a lot of movies, and he said this was his favorite of the last twenty years. That's worth noting. And I like him, he seems like a nice guy

I remember when Ed Norton walked said Beasts of the Southern Wild was the best movie of the decade. I also remember when Giovani Ribisi said Eyes Wide Shut was the best movie of all time.
