so, eddie shows up at the crack of noon to the clubhouse on a tuesday with amazing pot that he grows on the island he owns (boom is his personal grower, putting him behind the organ to ruin pearl jam songs is just a front to pay him) and everyone on staff passes it around until they come up with this "amazing" idea to keep starting countdowns just to fuck with the fan base. this has actually been happening for the last decade in some form or another, resulting in the bad decision machine we've all come to know and loathe.

I think you're half right. They are flying the green ganja, but the countdown is to when they are aiming to quit and get clean, and then actually start the next album.

But like most addicts, it's just procrastination. When the timer ran out, they were like 'Screw it, let's get one more ounce and then we'll quit'. The timer starts again.

Rinse and repeat.
