It is definitely that run of the first 3 songs that keeps pulling me back in
I really think the first six is may be the best opening run in the entire Pearl Jam catalog. Yield might be better... ? But it's close.

I love every second of the first 8 on Gigaton.

Once and Why Go are too weak. Regardless of how good Even Flow, Black and Jeremy are. Those two take it soldily out of the running.
Vitalogy is much closer. But it stumbles at Spin The Black Circle. And Whipping isn't the strongest #6. But it would definitely be up there without STBC.

Man, the bassline in this song is so great, especially the chorus. Long live Jeff Ament!

I'm digging Jeff on this too! His rising bassline really adds.

Because it’s the only place it happens on the album, yes. It makes me smirk, but i don’t hate it.

Loved this one from the first time I heard it. I jumped around like an idiot and even terribly sung the last chorus on first listen.
It’s awesome
Fav song from Gigaton No question

This is up there with Brain Of J and Can't Keep as favourite album openers.
I love that it goes in a bunch of different directions. The ambient music leading into those first strums from Ed just sucks me into the whole thing and then the song never lets go.
The bridge is once again a highlight. The weird guitar 'solo' after the first chorus is also wonderful. Or is it a synthesizer? Sounds like a mix of both, it freaks me out and I love it.
Have we all agreed that Ed says, "Hit me with your rhythm stick" at the start before the guitar starts? Bizarre and awesome

There is something about it that reminds me of Breakerfall, just not quite as good.

Who Ever Said. I want the band to get a little more heavy in it, instead they just sort of slow down.
