i did a quick skim of the youtube video on mute which qualifies me to comment now

that really looks super low budget

no effort

prob took like a day and a half to make

gigaton is a well-produced album but these videos are not

they need to find the josh evans of video making

No way that thing took a day and a half to make. I bet it was complete pain in the ass for the guy that created it. Some of it is painstaking stuff that's just lost on people here. Animations aren't easy.

there is no "use of her as a prop"; she is an activist who chooses to do her work and chooses the artists and orgs she works with to help spread her message, just like any other; I think the people who do her a disservice are those who take away the assumption of autonomy because she is "just a kid"

there are also people who think it must be child abuse that she does what she does because they can't imagine an autistic young girl in her position

Me too. They could have used her image but dialed it back a bit (like... quickly flashing among other shots or something rather than having her front and center multiple times) and I think it would have been a bit more impactful.

I like it enough in the context of the video. It works for me, im not taken out or anything.

Been thinking that this song is maybe what they tried to do on LB but here it works. Its a mix between REM and Zep, and it actually works.

Much as I respect her conviction & her laudable efforts, poor Greta Thunberg looks like the "Call me now" woman from those low-budget 80s-90s commercials. Come to think of it, the entire video reminds me of those ads. She should fire her agent.
