Is that Red Dead bundle worth 13.99 without the other DLC? I'll probably get Dead Island just b/c of how cheap it is. Anything else worth grabbing?

Red Dead and Undead Nightmare are both great.

Just recently got Read Dead GOY for $10 off amazon. Probably going to be my last ps3 purchase as I still have to play through Last of Us and continue my Red Dead game I started a few years ago when I rented it.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut ships today. I landed it for $5 due to a -75% deal for those who already own DE:HR and the Missing Link DLC. Should be a hoot.

Just FYI, I bought the discounted version of RDR today and most of the co-op and map packs that come with the GOTY edition are free to download, so yeah, it's like getting the GOTY for 13.99!

This might actually motivate me to play it. The bosses made me quit even though the original Deus Ex is one of my favorite games of all time and seeing that they're reworked I might actually have fun! Having to think about being able to take down the next boss took all my fun away.

The boss battles were definitely the low point, but I was so hooked on the rest of the gameplay that I had to persist. I must have hacked every terminal and computer in that whole game. Also the police station ended up with its air ventilation system full of bodies. Whoops.

Generally, agreed. Every time I faced a room (or building!) full of enemies, I'd spend a few minutes examining my surroundings to decide whether stealth was the best option, and if it wasn't, I'd have to locate cover ahead of time to make sure I survived the ensuing firefight. Then, for the boss fights, I loaded up on health packs and shots my biggest gun in the direction of any movement or noise. It just dididn't feel like the same game.

New Batman on Friday. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Different developer, although they're using the same base as the game. It's just that Akrham Asylum and Arkham City were so amazing, it's going to be hard to live up too.

I hope Rocksteady is developing a new Batman game for the next gen systems.

And less than a month until the next gen systems come out. I've got my day one XBox One ordered and excited to get it.

I'm nervous that the review embargo isn't until release day. That's usually not a good sign, but sometimes it doesn't matter.

Ico was pretty cool but kinda samey throughout. It' short length was appropriate.

SOTC is fantastic. 11 colossi are down, so I'm through the game soon. :(

The fact that these games are brief is my favourite thing about them. I don't have the patience for an RPG so, speaking as a non-gamer, these were perfect. It was like they mixed the expansive "universe" of a newschool game with the smaller challenges of an oldschool platformer / puzzle game.

While some of the colossi were a walk in the park, one or two of them took me upwards of an hour. I miss that game.
