Often referred to as 'The 6th member of Radiohead'... Nigel Godrich is the producer/programmer/keyboardist/guitarist extrordinaire, who has played on and produced every Radiohead album since The Bends, as well as Beck's Mutations, The Information, and Sea Change, REM's Up, and Sir Paul McCartney's Chaos And Creation In The Backyard... among others. As an instrumentalist, he has played guitars, keys, and programming in Ultraista, and he is currently touring as part of Atoms For Peace... Check him out in THIS video. He is very versatile and is responsible for that ever-so-familiar sound:

This is my favorite thread on RM, right now. I kinda wanted to play along when it was being set up, but I knew I'd just load my band with a bunch of relatively unknown musicians whom I love, and be the odd man out in terms of historical and cultural relevance.

I'm really enjoying watching this play out, though.
