JC Players would be much younger and also not professionals.

Also not a very practical analogy due to the shot clock. The JC team can't just sit on the ball the whole time and it's much easier to score in basketball than in soccer.

So no, this analogy doesn't work for me either.
To consider Iran and Argentina's players peers is absurd.

Yeah, someone said that is the third time he's bitten someone during a match. Very immature.

OK fine... Iran's strategy was to hold off Argentina from scoring for nearly the entire game and then strike at the end to try and win. Fine, I can accept that.

But really am I the only person who feels that they might as well have not even played the game? What would the difference be if they had just shaken hands before and said "you know what, let's just each walk away with 1 point for the standings" and went home. Sure, sure, it's entertaining to watch. But again, if it's truly a competitive sport there has to be a winner and there has to be a loser.

I will not get into a debate about ties in American Football because they are extremely, extremely rare and there is always at least one Overtime period in the event of a regulation tie.

A tie score at the end of a game is fucking lame and nothing will ever change that fact.

It's different in soccer, I'm trying to sound like a snob, but it just is. There are plenty of draws that are much more exciting and fun to watch than a 1-0 snoozefest game. There's value in a draw that doesnt exist in American sports.

I hope you're the only one because it makes no fucking sense.

Hell I'll take a good 0-0 like Mexico-Brazil over a game with a lot of goals like France-Switzerland where one team can't defend at all and after 30 minutes it's already over.

As long as this doesnt result in a suspension that causes him to miss Liverpool games, I'm cool with it.

FIFA will invoke the "Juanney Football" rule and sit him for the first half of the next game

I havent watched every game, but the 3 best games I've seen from start to finish in this WC have been draws. Mexico/Brazil, Ghana/Germany, and US/Portugal.

I just saw the Suarez play for the first time, it's kind of funny the way the bite is his go-to move in the box.
