Qhorin Halfhand



Qhorin, known as Halfhand, is a ranger of the Night's Watch and second-in-command at the Shadow Tower. Qhorin is a living legend in the Watch. He is considered to be one of the best rangers within the Watch. He is called Halfhand because he lost all the fingers on his right hand except his thumb and forefinger to a wildling axe. Because of this, he was forced to train himself how to fight left-handed and became just as proficient with his left hand as he had been with his right.

Victarion Greyjoy



Victarion Greyjoy is a member of House Greyjoy and is a younger brother of Lord Balon Greyjoy. He is the Lord Captain of the Iron Fleet, and his flagship is the Iron Victory. Victarion is a large and powerful man, with a bull's broad chest and a boy's flat stomach. He wears plate armor in combat, a helm in the shape of a kraken, and wields a cruel axe. Victarion is a capable commander and a fierce warrior in battle, but has a calm demeanor outside of it, thinking of enemies who show bravery with great respect.

A wolf is not a kraken. What the kraken grasps it does not lose, be it longship or leviathan.

Come sunset, as the sea turned black as ink and the swollen sun tinted the sky a deep and bloody red, Victarion came back on deck. He was naked from the waist up, his left arm blood to the elbow. As his crew gathered, whispering and trading glances, he raised a charred and blackened hand. Wisps of dark smoke rose from his fingers as he pointed at the maester.

"That one. Cut his throat and throw him in the sea, and the winds will favor us all the way to Meereen." Moqorro had seen that in his fires. He had seen the wench wed too, but what of it? She would not be the first woman Victarion Greyjoy had made a widow.

Halfhand would have beaten plenty of the other round 1 winners, but I think he falls to Victarion Greyjoy.

Qhorin is essentially one of the toughest men to ever man the wall, and actually struck fear in the wildlings...but that doesn't get him a win here. Vulcanized hand over half a hand. Poor draw for the brother in black.
