Both are outstanding. But they are polar opposites. Hunky Dory being on the more "accessible" side. But I love both records. Annie Clark's favorite song is 'It's No Game (No. 1)' from Scary Monsters.

For whatever it might be worth to you, Hunky Dory is in my top 10 albums of all time. I love every single track like they are my own children.

It means a lot to me, Joey. Consider that eyeing no longer tentative.

I still haven't listened to Blackstar.

It's so good. I can't say enough good things about it. Shocking how great it is coming so late in his career.

Are you saving it, too? I'm thinking the next time I have a little bit of weed and some good bourbon.

I like Outside, too. It's a little bit too concept-y for my liking, but still awesome.

Not for that. Just putting some distance/time between his death and listening to new material. I've revisited a few albums of his lately.

Scary Monsters is much better than hunky dory imo, the latter always felt entrenched in the late 60s early 70s to me whereas scary monsters felt like bowie was reaching forward and excelling at it.

Hunky Dory has higher highs, but Scary Monsters is the better record.

"Life on Mars?" and "Queen Bitch" are immortal to me. I think the only Bowie song I'd rank above them is "Golden Years".
