The desperation. Running around trying to put out fires their own mouths have started.

He meant Britain and France after just a few days ago both countries said they would put peacekeeping forces on the ground in Ukraine.

You will note He isn’t asked who does he actually means if not Britain and France? What countries is he referring to?

It truly doesn’t matter what he did or didn’t mean, because the message was received by the people it was received by. It will only serve to further galvanize Europe.

Even if the politically switched-on people care to define the difference, the vast majority of Europeans will receive it as another confrontationally aggressive dismissal.

We’ll live the rest of our lives with a world where our closest allies do not rely on us, do not trust us, and do not see doing business with it as “safer” than the alternatives. All because a coalition of billionaires and would-be autocrats spent years convincing a group of people that a return to gilded age inequities is how you save western civilization….and those people will watch their own homes burn to the ground before they’ll ever admit that they were wrong.

BUT the reality is that if the war keeps going as it currently is, in a year or so someone will have to put boots on the ground in UKR. And Vance, despite his appalling behavior last week, is 100% correct to ask the question: 'Who is it going to be?'
