I'm listening to the first Gin Blossoms album - as you do - and "Found Out About You" is playing. If I were listening to it on a record I would assume I put it on at the wrong speed because it is a very sped-up version of the song. Like it's a race to the end or something. A lot of the songs on here sound like that, but that one is noticeable because I'm more familiar with the million-selling version of it.

Of course I did this thinking "hey maybe there's some stuff on the albums...?" but not so far. They had a genius picking the singles for their albums.

switching to The Velvet Underground because there's less than 30 minutes to go now.

Same. Just doesn't match the energy of seeing it live, nor does it sound as punchy as listening to the studio version. It's like the worst of both worlds.
