That is nice and highlights that EVH was a good songwriter. Every time I see Grohl on drums it just makes me pine for a Them Crooked Vultures follow up.

They said at the time that a 2nd album was ready to go. But then they always say that during interviews.

i found an old stack of CDRs of backed up mp3s labeled April 2001. no albums, just a huge directory of songs i had in a massive Winamp library. copying all of them into one huge "College" playlist on spotify. this is a massive trip down memory lane

On the same front, the Dixie Chicks are talking about a new album. I know few if any of you care but I only mention it because hey tool has a new album after 13 years and the same is true for them.
Also my wife likes them and she's super excited.

at this point I am too. I finally listened to that PJ protest song and wow. I like a lot of their stuff that you guys don't (hence why I rarely comment in the PJ threads when it comes to the albums) but this was just not good. I mean, the whole band sounds bored behind Eddie and the production makes Matt sound like he's trying to mimic St. Anger.
We saw them twice in 2016, once here and the second time in Calgary because why the heck not.
