Lulu
It Follows  Watched it again. Still find a lot to enjoy about it, but it falters after the middle.
Crumb
My Secret World: The Story of Sarah Records  Overlong, but really cool. Can't fault the music.
Faraday
This is Where I Leave You.   Seriously one of the worst movies I've ever watched. Just top-to-bottom horseshit, an endless barrage of unbearable and ham-fisted heart-to-hearts. For such a likeable cast, something went seriously wrong for this to suck so bad. Totally bland, witless piffle.

Yeah. I like everyone in the cast. The movie is just hopelessly dull and charmless.

looking at the director's past work i can see where this would not be very good

I didn't think it was a bad movie, even if it was rather ham fisted. but then I'm an unworldly slob so

promised land - i like most of the people involved with this...it started out decent enough, but the end is just cheesy and i felt like they could have tackled the subject with more depth

wet hot american summer - just good, dumb fun

st. vincent - this was pretty good, but i'm not sure it would have had much appeal without murray...i haven't seen melissa mccarthy in much, but based on what i've seen she's always the loud, f*t woman is over the top character that i don't find amusing in the least...i thought she brought a lot of depth to the character here and i was surprised at how good she was

its just weird hearing that coming from you. I think of you as a very noble character, not some pig in the mud.

this could backfire on me, but I find your comment interesting. how does experiencing dumb help you understand nobility? just in comparison?
