Yeah I'm liking the timing of this
Ohhh good I have something to look forward to now.Monkey_Driven wrote:God of War getting incredible reviews. I'm not watching any videos until starting the game next week.
Never do that. Never.tree_ wrote:I think I'm gonna trade a bunch of games in at the local game store and buy this one.
Yeah, it's never a good deal for the consumer.CopperTom wrote:Never do that. Never.tree_ wrote:I think I'm gonna trade a bunch of games in at the local game store and buy this one.
How do those things work? Do you buy used from Amazon? I don't mind trading in a bunch of old games I don't play anymore.Monkey_Driven wrote:Yeah, it's never a good deal for the consumer.CopperTom wrote:Never do that. Then again, between Best Buy's Gamers Club and Amazon I can't remember a time I paid full price for a new game.
If you have prime you can get 20 percent off a pre-ordered new game. Sell the games you don't want yourself (on eBay, Craigslist, Amazon, etc.) and you can get quite a bit more money back.tree_ wrote:How do those things work? Do you buy used from Amazon? Depending on the game, you can usually get 20-50 percent more for a game selling yourself. Just invest in some bubble mailers.tree_ wrote:OK, yeah. I'm gonna try selling on Amazon. Thanks.
How do you decide what price to list the game at? Is there a current used value site you use?Monkey_Driven wrote:Depending on the game, you can usually get 20-50 percent more for a game selling yourself. I usually look at the lowest price being offered for a used copy and try to be competitive with it. There's a strategy to it.tree_ wrote:How do you decide what price to list the game at? Last time I tried selling a game on Amazon I found out that if you try to sell a Nintendo game as "new" you have to have a copy of the invoice where you bought it from Nintendo. Which is a weird requirement, I have to say.tree_ wrote:OK, yeah. I'm gonna try selling on Amazon. Thanks.
Yeah, looking at all the used game prices listed on Amazon, I'm thinking I might as well trade them in at the local game store. They give very fair prices for trade ins.bune wrote:Last time I tried selling a game on Amazon I found out that if you try to sell a Nintendo game as "new" you have to have a copy of the invoice where you bought it from Nintendo. And the time before that they took so much of the price of the game that it ended up that I made no profit even though I sold the game for $30 over what I paid for it.
Yeah, family owned is very different. Support them if they're giving you a fair deal.tree_ wrote:Very excited too. Watched some review videos and have been catching up on my Norse mythology. Nah dudes my local game store is fair, unlike the chains. It's family owned.
That's awesome, no family-owned gaming stores close to me; I would certainly do trades if they were fair (unlike the Gamestops of the world).tree_ wrote:Very excited too. I saw you were playing it. How far are you?tree_ wrote:Finally getting into mgsV this weekend. Loving it
