It'd be an improvement. Maybe he still gets a gun, but dude illegally carrying and then (unsafely) doing some backyard target practice got probation, kept his guns and goes on to shoot up MSU.
You know as well as anyone that the 2a fanatics will do everything in their power to make sure everyone has a right to a gun no matter what

Enforcing the
existing laws is worthwhile as well because regulations don't mean shit if they are never applied.

There are legalists out there that don't think felonies should permanently remove any of your rights. I don't expect they are a majority of 2A enthusiasts, most of us aren't particularly consistent here.
