Well, my bet is that they will burn Managort or Stone in effigy, but all the Trumpettes will get out unscathed. The government never burns this many millions on public spectacle with someone going down. But that will be quite the day.

That's the dream.

So the first draft of the Comey letter includes complaints about his unwillingness to publicly clear Trump, probably stripping any legal denial of intent that was still left over after the NBC outburst. It also complicates Jared and Ivanka's positions as, essentially, they are now witnesses to a provable event. And that's assuming they were ONLY witnesses, and not participants. They can no longer argue that they are neither.

Apparently, if Mueller can get Trump's WH Counsel advice on the matter (there's some debate as to whether he can), it could make for a pretty compelling obstruction case.

Assuming obstruction is all that's being proven.

Meanwhile, Donnie is nearly 30 points underwater in the new Gallup poll and possibly gearing up to end DACA, which is already earning him new opposition within his own party.

I don't think this is going to be a "smoking gun" type of investigation, but rather a tapestry of wrongdoings that adds up to a bigger picture of long-term criminal activity. The American public is going to regret not insisting that Trump released his tax returns before electing him, and my bet is that out of this will come bipartisan legislation requiring candidates to do so in future elections.
