This could change history. These two are thought to be the first to reach Everest summit but both died and never found, missing for over 100 years, Mallorys remains found a few years ago, Irvines remains this week. He had a camera with him a kodak, and given the remains have been under the ice for so long, kodak said they might be able to develop the film.

Cool story, but they haven't actually found a camera with him yet. They've only removed the boots/socks/legs so far.

It did look like i said that. The camera is hopefully and likely nearby.

So our town is in a bit of a kerfuffle over tha annual Christmas parade. The city stopped sponsoring it years (decades?) ago and the Chamber of Commerce has sponsored it since. Well, last year, they caused some heat because they wouldn’t allow a Pride float to join the parade. So this year, they decided not to sponsor it any more and so a bunch of area churches took on the role. So now, in order to participate in the parade one has to:

a) sign a statement of faith
b) declare your belief in the Christian Bible
c) declare your belief in Jesus Christ as your lord and savior
d) declare your belief that marriage is only between a man and a woman
e) declare yourself to be anti-abortion
f) declare yourself to be anti-trans people

My faith in our community is somewhat bolstered by some surprising locals denouncing the parade, but by and large, I still hate this town.

Some of those declarations sound pretty non Christian to me...

They want to bring it here so bad (and they will, and you will probably cheer it on.)
