For starters the steel drum notes are fucking different.

Whoa, a little testy, there. You know you can change the steel drum notes by muting the track they're recorded on and/or recording a new one, right? That's what I meant by "altered" and "remixed." Because that's what that means.

This is not worth talking about that much, but it's my opinion that the track is the same, just altered, edited, overdubbed, and remixed. That's why the liner notes say that it was recorded by Jack at his house and not by Nick Didia or whoever like the rest of the album tracks.

Longer songs implies more depth, etc. etc. Hopefully.

Don't get me wrong, I like this artwork a lot, way more than Backspacer. I just don't like it for the next album.

The one image per song is a bit tiresome. However I agree that it's different and not as "dreamy" as the Tom Tomorrow stuff. While still very clean I think the images are giving me more hope for a darker themed album... as are the song titles themselves.

Some think the song titles could be getting released in reverse order, but there is nothing official yet for track placement

They're giving away tickets to the listening party. The interesting thing is that they're not only going to play the album but they will also show some videos of the recording sessions. Maybe we're going to see an EPK again.
