You deserved to feel uncomfortable after that post.

Royals
Cubs
Yankees
Pirates
Astros
Blue Jays
Mets
Dodgers
Cardinals
Rangers

I kind of want to be in Illinois when the Cubs finally win. Not necessarily on the north side of Chicago. That seems dangerous (a la someone died in Boston 2004). But maybe out in like Peoria or something.
That person that died in Boston was killed by the police, not fans.

Absolutely. But they've had, what, three incidents this year with three separate test where they were intentionally throwing at people for not playing the right way? Biased or not, that's one of the dumbest things in sports.

I just decided that, rather than asking for half a day off to go home and watch Friday's afternoon game, I would take the whole day off, spend $150 on a damn upper-deck ticket, and really make it worth my while.

I cannot wait until Friday.

I remember when the last time the Bruins played the Maple Leafs in a playoff series. My brother called me the morning of game 7 and said he had tickets, but they were about $150 for balcony seats. I almost didn't buy one, thinking it was a bit steep and by that point in the series the Bruins looked like they couldn't hang. Instead, I said fuck it and went and now that money is meaningless.

nice anecdote chud. i'm sure it really drove home the point with phil, while also conjuring up suicidal thoughts.

Probably not the best considering he'll be in the upper deck tonight.

Seriously, though: seeing other people get excited about the playoffs makes me even more excited, especially since my team isn't playing.

If the Cardinals and Yankees can both get bounced before the LCS, we're guaranteed an awesome World Series.

The dart room at the bar I'm playing at tonight doesn't have a TV in it. :/

It's not a terrible bar, they just make us play darts in the back room.

Each team gets a free order of wings, so there's that.
