But as for vice president, the Senate only gets to choose from the top two candidates. So if the Democrats win back the Senate, you could have a McMullin/Kaine combination.

Emphasis on incompetent. Remember that time he suggested that treasury bond holders take a haircut??? The POTUS can not say stuff like that. His or her words move markets. For him to suggest that he would default/renegotiate the debt (aka the safest financial asset in the world) shows such a stunning lack of even basic economic/financial knowledge (or more generously but no less dangerously a recklessness with language) that proves him unfit to even be considered for the office.
