I'm not big on a lot of the Dogfish stuff, but man that Noble Rot sure is delicious.

I really really enjoyed it. Maybe not to the same level as the one in march, but I had no expectations for that one and it was amazing.
By the way, what did you think of the Oracle?

Going to drink it tonight. I generally really like Oracle, but it isn't as good to me as Bells other significantly hop forward offerings (hopslam, 2 hearted)
I'm not sure what you thought, but I thought the Oracle was fantastic! I thought that it tasted similar to a decent batch of Zombie Dust (which is still about a 90 out of a 100 (which says a lot about how good Zombie Dust is)).

Did you detect a hint of onion? I heard some people complaining about that.

I have 2 bottles at home that I just remembered I bought last week, so I'll be partaking this weekend. I was just curious to hear other peoples' thoughs.
Well, it's true. Big fucking onion bomb. Wow.

this has me intrigued now..I tried a small pour from my local pub from the bottle and could not taste onion, maybe because I was already 2 deep into something else..anyway, I found out today that Stone actually didnt ship this beer to Southern Cal which is weird..anyway, the bottle that I tasted from was given to my pub by the distributor..Northern Cal and everyone else got this except us..

Could be they're using some sort of wild hop. They can come through with a strong onion/garlic aroma and taste.

Just finished off a bottle of 9.13.13... no onion. It was quite similar to the May release I had but certainly something different, I could definitely see the difference being a hop characteristic that is not expected.

I did some more investigating. I heard the onion complaint was bottle to bottle. Also, there were some bottles that were cloudy while some were clear. I've never had a complaint about Stone before, so this really surprised me.

I only feel this way b/c they have so much.

I had one of their 60minutes the other day, and I freakin' enjoyed it. It's not my favorite, but it was a nice IPA that I had just kinda forgotten about.

Try the 75 Minute. It's a really solid beer.

Had Ayinger's Dunkel Weisse on tap last night and it was amazing. Theyre such an awesome brewery if youre looking for an authentic German brew.

I can't wait for the Great Lake's Brewing Company's Oktoberfest. It probably is my favorite of that style - yes even better than Sam Adams

I've never been a fan of anything that Red Hook bottles, but they always have something great on cask/nitro at the brewery. Picked up a 22 of their Out of Your Gourd Pumpkin Porter. This beer is an outstanding example of a pumpkin beer - I highly recommend it.
