You would think so. Yet, had they actually looked at Boston's schedule they would have seen Boston has off-days Thursday and Monday. So, Boston can juggle their starters until he returns. Its really no punishment at all.

when you say yankees do you meant the players on the team or the organization. not that it matters much there are several other clubs out there who have let the same things go.

I still question Rickey Henderson... he played with Canseco, and Big Mac... and never lost his speed into his 40s (and probably still has it) its not like roids only give you power for homers

Jeff Cirilo was just doing an interview not too long ago where he said something like "i must have left the clubhouse too early? or been blind? I never saw it..." He always seems like a pretty straight shooter, but, now days? who knows...

only 5 people reach 4,000 hits
Rose, Cobb, Aaron, Musial (4001) and now Ichiro...

so those of you who didnt wanna count the hits together, and saying "if were going to include Japan hits than lets include minors" go ahead, its still only 5 guys to reach 4,000 professionally

also they just put up that he has the most hits in a 13 year hit span

He's an amazing hitter. I dont see anyone debating that. But this "4,000 hits" thing just seems silly.
