If I thought the "he played with..." argument carried any kind of validity, I could implicate literally every play for the last 30 years.

I have a hard time disagreeing with that because there's always some kind of question in the back of my head, but I would never even make a serious suggestion let alone put it out there in the media the way we've heard over the last few years.
