I will say the one scene that didn't work for me last night was the walt entering the home with a gun scene. Because of the flash forward scenes, we knew walt didnt die, and the house didnt get burned down. So while I didnt need either of those things to happen, it did kill the tension for me.

we knew walt would make it through alive and that the house wouldn't burn to the ground, but you didn't think there was a chance that walt would shoot and kill jesse in his own house? possibly in his son's room? or that any of the gasoline would ignite?

it kept me wondering where jesse was and why the house wasn't burning.

Yeah, but both those things I still had. A standoff loses half it's tension if you know one person wont be hurt.

I didn't like Hank's "Who cares? Just another dead junkie" attitude when talking to Gomez about Jesse. Seems like the wrong thing to say/think when Jesse is your best chance at nailing Walt.

especially when that dead junkie was under your care and supervision, and when this whole thing breaks, at best you're already going to look like a rule breaking cop. Hank needs to either go on full on vigilante or turn it into an official investigation, this half measures thing he is trying to pull off never works. Or so I've heard.

I think the voicemail was a flash forward scene. I believe it happens after the job Walt wants him to do.

I think it has something to do with costing Walt his fortune.

that was my initial thought, but now i'm thinking jesse's going to look to kill todd... thinking that he's been cooking this whole time and not necessarily b/c he's cooking again.

I think that will be Hank's downfall. He under-estimates everyone. he hasn't quite been humbled enough, surprisingly.

Jesse knows Walt's warped/psychotic/evil/manipulative mind more than anyone else and i think this is why Jesse presents the biggest threat to Walt. He knows it. Walt knows it.

Although only a few episodes left, this show and characters can be so volatile and so much can happen in an instant. This is why the show has been so mind blowing at times.

Great episode but goddammit I hate waiting a week :(

storyline & characters aside,

I am constantly amazed by the soundtrack/score and the way they shot this thing, the angles, shadows, focusing, it's really quite a thing to see & hear

case in point, last week the wife wanted to watch 'under the dome' after breaking bad, the production in that piece of crap felt like cheap porn

Was he threatening Walt though? I'm sure Walt doesn't really care that Declan is dead. I need to go back and watch that episode again. Did Walt and Todd have some kind of falling out that I don't remember?

This is like the difference between Game of Thrones and the Walking Dead.

With Game of Thrones being cheap porn?
