Could it be that they are probably the only 90s band that not only continued to grow in the 00s, they challenged themselves and their fanbase.

edit: popular 90s band

Buuuuullshit.

I feel pretty good about my statement, but I have to go pick up the girls and can't really argue this. I do stand by people's listening habits becoming far more diverse, with far fewer mega bands that everyone knew and listened to, compared to previous decades. This isn't surprising, given how technology changed the way people can access music. It's also not a comment on quality in any way. I think the 90s was better, but that's when I was a teenager/early 20s

well half of the 90s bands didn't make it out of the 90s, but that's still probably true.

I'm just saying radiohead is getting the love its getting because the 2000s was not an era of supergroups like some of the decades that preceded it (and certainly the 90s)

Kid A has gotten a lot of listens as I've tried to find what other people see in it. It continues to elude me.

And I'm not sure how challenging a record like In Rainbows is. It certainly sounds like Radiohead sounding like Radiohead in a way that, say, Kid A, didn't (again, not a comment on quality. Challenging does not equal good)

This one was a top pick - I was tossing up between this and another, but have now decided to keep Radiohead off my list

I know what he means (those songs sound more identifiably "Radiohead-y" than something like Kid A's title track) but it's still such a beautiful album. Very melodic and soulful and jazzy in a way they never really attempted before.

Sorry, spent the day bailing out my grandad's basement. Do I get to pick now or do I have to wait until it comes back to me?
