It's super mainstream, polished, conventional post-grunge with mostly terrible lyrics, but I'm okay with that sometimes. Strong melodies and vocals. Rocks hard when called for. Yeah, I still like it.
When Fuel was actively popular, i liked them quite a bit, and they put on an enjoyable show. Ill still throw in Sunburn occasionally.
Sponge is my shitty 90s band of choice.
What are your top 5 sponge songs?

there's this woman who is a regular at the wings joint we go to every week for wings and beer. she's this nasty old lady that we call "Mama Fratelli", because, well, that's who she looks and talks like.
she waddled over to the jukebox a couple of weeks ago and pumped in a couple of dollars, hit the "search" button and typed in:
Beedles
Nothing popped up, and she sort of looked at the screen for a minute, when suddenly you could see a light bulb go off over her head. She backspaced her search, and typed in:
The Beedles

Yeah, I loved Sponge. "Wax Ecstatic" is the only one I still have -- I should track down their first and third albums, I bet they go for pennies.
Wax Ecstatic
Silence Is Their Drug
Have You Seen Mary
My Baby Said
Pollyanna

rotting pinata is as solid a debut as ten
wax ecstatic a solid effort but is a little less when compared to their debut
new pop sunday was a surprise...most of the songs are in regular rotation still for me
for all the drugs in the world has solid tracks in treat me wrong, dandelions roar and suicide away
my biggest gripe is the two times i have seen them their set list did not vary much if at all

I just watched the Letterman performances of "Plowed" and "Wax Ecstatic." I couldn't finish. That guy's stupid faces at the camera make the "Jeremy" video look tame.

Not in the least, if instead of Detroit they were from Seattle they would have gotten more play
