so their last album was in 2013, which is a hell of a long time ago (by most band's standards except a certain former rock & roll band from seattle). i thought they were close to releasing a new album last spring. i understand that losing 2 out of 4 members in the last 2 album cycles doesn't help the creative process. but i really wonder what their immediate plans are.

First, that is a perfect performance of Svefn-g-englar.

Second, didn't Jonsi say in an interview the new album was almost done? This was before the drummer incident, though.

exactly. and the drummer incident was over a year ago. i assume they're slow rolling it until they get a permanent drummer.

i just wish kartjen would rejoin them. his absence left such a hole.

There is a white noise at the beginning of svefn on the studio version. I think it's supposed to be the sound inside the womb. Whatever it is, it shuts me down. It's so calm and euphoric.
