I thought Betterman was a highlight.
I thought Lightning Bolt was good too.
Lightning Bolt was the highlight. And I also thought Better Man was good. And I can't believe I'm saying this but, I really enjoyed Small Town.

If you dont love screaming "hello" at the top of your lungs in an arena full of people well then ....fuck you.

I don't know, I'm thankful that Ed has more or less abandoned bonehead anti-capitalist ranting.
But sharing a stage and a night with some of the greediest people on the earth? For an event who's alleged purpose is to end poverty and inequality and blah blah blah... These people, and the politicians they buy, are THE cause of it all. I mean, dictionary hypocrisy going on here..

And my favorite band is now officially partner with them.
I thinkt hats an elementary viewpoint of it. Which i think is what Ed had years ago. I also dont think he rallied against all corporations, or that corporations were bad, it was the rich people that didnt give back that had ed riled up. That sort of sentiment can only be spoken of on a surface level from the stage.

And, ed has grown up. Thank god. we all should.
Bill Gates is heavily invested in Monsanto. Eddie grew up? Or said, fuck it, I'm old and rich and don't really care anymore?
Has PJ ever spoken agaisnt monsanto? and also what about the other biillions of dollars Bill Gates has spent towards good causes?

My point is, views evolve, yours should too. Its great to hold on to your punk rock views of a 15 year old but...

When I'm there it's great and I sure as hell sing along, mostly because I just love being in that PJ Concert moment and I try to let the show just take me away. I'm more referencing bootleg listening, DVD watching, YouTube, etc. I never seek out Small Town anymore. It's probably been 15 years since I intentionally sought it out.

You're right. Let's let the super rich guide us to utopia. They've done a wonderful job with their ever-increasing power and influence so far.

But back on topic.. PJ sounded pretty good tonight

At one time or another I was 5 feet from Daniel Craig, Ray Liotta (and his eye infection), Michael Chiklaus, guy from Low Winter Sun. Also saw Zach Braff and Selina Kyle from Gotham.

Pretty good performance overall. MSNBC cut out about 4 songs unfortunately.

The band sounds as tight and focused as ever when they play. Just makes it all the more frustrating that can't take that energy into the studio and really do something different.

I dunno, they sounded like they usually do lately, though I don't think their later performances are as bad as most here think. Its just a shame they are wasted on those songs.

i mean sure, they fuck up a lot and some shows are rough, but they usually nail the standards pretty easily.
