I have been planning to attend this HOF ceremony for like 5 years, knowing they would be in during first year of eligibility. Come on it was a lock.
But having kids now, and it being in NY, I had to bail on that plan.
I really wish I could go and I really look forward to when it airs on TV.
I'm super glad that as a teen I connected most with PJ who is still touring after all this time, as opposed to say Nirvana who fizzled out before I even got my drivers license.
This is special. It's fucking awesome.

I don't give a shit about whether or not pearl jam, or any band I love, is in the rock and roll hall of fame. With that said, I'm very interested in seeing the performance and hearing Letterman's speech.

This is exactly how I feel (While recognizing the somewhat self congratulatory nature of this perspective).
Pearl Jam is probably the last great arena rock act. It s a fucking blessing we got to live in their moment with them.
