Riot Act was released on HDTracks in 2015. It went mostly unnoticed, but 192/24 versions of both Binaural and Riot Act also went up on Qobuz in September 2017. I have confirmed that the Qobuz version of Riot Act is same as the HDTracks version from 2015. The question now is whether this version is the same as the new '2017 remaster' supposedly being put out in conjunction with the 2017 vinyl release (if so this would mean it's actually a 2015 remaster). Any help getting to the bottom of this would be muchly appreciatory because it's holding up the release of this:
And before anyone asks, like the No Code/Yield Deluxe editions I will be putting out a version with the original CD master as well

Would want to.
This will be fantastic. Can't wait.
Outstanding! Could someone kindly share a link to the No Code and Yield deluxe editions?

When are we going to get vinyl reissues of the Ten singles?

On top of this: it was bogus that they released the No Code / Yield era singles but skipped Merkinball.

I picked up a gently used copy of the Ten remix/OG double vinyl for $15 at my local record store. Almost have all of them now.

With all the reissues, remasters, and foggy lineage, is there a site that can rank the best "audiophile" or best sounding copies of the releases? Along the lines of the "definitive list of PJ Songs" thread, but for records and/or SACD/DVD audio/HD tracks of the albums? I'd be an undertaking, for sure, and it would have to be a visual spectrum analysis as all of our ears are different.
Discogs is a great resource, but I don't see a ranking there.

WHY DO THEY DO THIS WHY

The original CD's are definitive, period. No vinyl bullshit. No remasters.

TL;DR: the Spotify remaster has a dynamic range of 7, while the 2017 remix has a dynamic range of 5. The original CD version had a range of 6, so the 2017 remix is more compressed than the original version; and the Spotify remaster has more dynamics/less compression.
I'm pretty sure everyone in the Pearl Jam LLC Organization hates your guts.

It was pretty standard in the early-to-mid aughts, when artists and engineers were concerned with how their song would play on an ipod shuffle playlist, but that conventional thinking has started to die out pretty dramatically; there are lots of new popular records that aren't squashed. My money is on either A) Ed/BOB have done a lot of damage to their ears and need to hear things loud all the time, and/or B) they are still stuck in the mid aughts.
or both
