Tunnel of Love was Huge Departure from his previous stuff at the time, I remember being like 7 or 8 and putting that record on and liking it. I think the two records after that are some of his most underrated stuff.

Maybe it's because I'm just going through this but if any album is a big departure it's Nebraska. Compared to the very early albums, then coming behind the Born to Run > Darkness > River stretch, it feels completely different. Tunnel Of Love seems more in line with The River and Born in the USA to me than Nebraska does.

Not In My Name. There's a fair bit of blood on our hands and in 2003 there was a moment where we said no, you shall not do this in our name. Maybe we need to be saying this more often, even daily. Iraq, Vietnam, Australia's stolen generation and our current treatment of refugees on Manus Island. Who'll be the last to die for a mistake. I always heard it as "We'll be the last to die for our mistakes." John Kerry's words still ring too true 30-40 years later but I think now we also need to be accountable. The truth is that we will be the last to die, we are fairly removed from these situations and can turn a blind eye. Every day that we don't speak up is another day we are complicit.

Last to Die.

There are still 5 songs that I really, really want on my team. But there's only room for two. I wonder how many will get picked before my last two turns. Hopefully some of you will make this easier on me.
