She’s got some sort of stomach thing. Throwing up all day yesterday, body aches, chills… So we took her to an urgent care and they did all the testing. She was negative for everything but she was dehydrated so they did an IV. We got her back to the hotel and went and grabbed the hibachi to go, and by the time we got back she had thrown up again. We got more meds down her and she zonked out. Her mom got here about midnite-thirty. She’s still out of it this morning so she’s not competing. Now the team has to figure out what they’re going to do with her not there.

Oh, and the urgent care was fee for service only, so that was a $750 hit we weren’t expecting.

Ugh, sounds like the bug my kid had last week. Finally stopped smelling phantom puke by last weekend.

I’m thinking surf n turf: filets in the cast iron with a sauce or just lots of butter, and poached lobster tails.

Skipping the red meat since I picked up four massive lob tails at Costco. Might grill/smoke them on the egg. Spinach and cheese ravioli as a side and Belgian chocolate cakes for dessert.

My team in Seattle is going out together with our manager tonight. Since I’m remote, I get to expense a dinner myself. Trying to decide where to go. I’m sure I’ll buckle under the pressure of deciding and end up buying a premade sandwich at the grocery store.

No specific budget but I’ll keep it under $50, including a drink or two.
