I’m intrigued.
All the pods I listen to are raving about this resistance reborn book.
Importantly they’re saying we all had frustrations with a lot of he new canon books and that they didn’t really add much and felt unnecessary but it all pays off in this one and it’s a must read before rise of skywalker.
Guess I’ll give it a spin

There’s a handful of truly great new canon books that really do add to this new era. But the majority just felt pointless in the whole.
The last I read was Tarkin Alliance where he and Anakin visit Black spire(Galaxys edge) and I could see them weaving stuff but it just didn’t go anywhere.
But now that I’ve read and heard all this I have huge hopes for this one.

JJ
“On this one, I let myself be, at least in the way I was approaching the thing, freer,” he said. “In Episode 7, I was adhering to a kind of approach that felt right for Star Wars in my head. It was about finding a visual language, like shooting on locations and doing practical things as much as possible. And we continue that in Episode 9, but I also found myself doing things that I’m not sure I would have been as daring to do on Episode 7.”
That sounds like a cue from Rian Johnson, whose The Last Jedi was a breath of fresh air in the Star Wars universe. “Rian helped remind me that that’s why we’re on these movies – not to just do something that you’ve seen before,” Abrams said. “I won’t say that I felt constrained or limited on 7, but I found myself wanting to do something that felt more consistent with the original trilogy than not. And on 9, I found myself feeling like I’m just gonna go for it a bit more.”

That’s a double-edged sword. Most don’t want Pearl Jam to release a techno album, although I’m sure it would be hailed as the greatest techno masterpiece of all time on the pit. Most would rather have a new Yield. But if it’s too safe, you’ll get another Lightning Bolt. Imo Pearl Jam were masters of this in the 90s, doing enough change to make something new and refreshing.

Eehhhhh ok?
I’ve been browsing the pit past few days. It’s totally dead. It probably has fewer active users than here.

A shame. That forum could have been so much better.

I hope this isn't true, but apparently the early test screenings were so bad, people were laughing at the screen; which led Iger to storm out and call Lucas to get involved, yikes!

Yeah - I read that the other day - there's apparently three different cuts of the film at this point or something
