Just realized after the game ended that Price was the only lefty on the roster tonight. In that light, it made sense to use him.numbers wrote:Yeah, I don't know why you'd waste him today, this game is all but won.

And about going on Wednesday... it's tempting. It would be something like $500 for two crappy tickets though. I'm thinking about it.

I still think it was foolish to waste him in a 6 run game. What if Stroman stinks Wednesday?philpritchard wrote:Just realized after the game ended that Price was the only lefty on the roster tonight. They are possibly the 3rd or 4th best hitter in the lineup when they start too? Greinkes got a good glove, maybe theyd be better off if he started out in RF on days Kershaw starts the way that offense is goingspike wrote:The Dodgers really don't have any pitching after Kershaw and Greinke.
Eddie looked like such a 12 year old at his first game getting interviewed before yesterdays game.
He might be a rich famous rock star using his perks to get great seats, but you could still see the 12 year old Cubs fan at heart thats for sure. (Still not pulling for the Cubs or Cards, sorry EV)

weird, but great game. watching them celebrate kind of makes up for watching the debacle of game 6 of the 2003 NLCS. crowd was INSANE after the Schwarber shot.
Speaking of, has it landed yet?

No way winning the NLDS replaces the heartbreak of 2003. Those demons will not be exorcised until they win the pennant.Chris_H_2 wrote:weird, but great game. watching them celebrate kind of makes up for watching the debacle of game 6 of the 2003 NLCS. crowd was INSANE after the Schwarber shot.

Congrats, Cubbies.
I'm just personally glad the cheating cardinals don't get to advance. Pretty cool that this was the first series clinching win at wrigley.

This is the first time the Cubs have won a playoff series at home. So it helps.BDB wrote:No way winning the NLDS replaces the heartbreak of 2003.
