Anyhow, pre Heller/ Mcdonald/Bruen, NRA types were anxious about adverse rulings so they didn't object too much about questionable legislation because it wasn't a given what would end up with a circuit split that would end up in their favor at SCOTUS. Now Dem legislators are on the other foot, but it's completely in their hands by not drafting legislation that would get anywhere near needing to get smacked down by Bruen precedent.
Don't push the envelope and you won't get your knuckles rapped, simple as.

Headline sounds like resident shot kid that wandered into their yard. Which is horrific.
Article sounds like it was a drive by and the kid was in his own yard, not the intended target. Which is slightly less horrific, I guess.

I think those are all from April. We keep seeing more and more people so thirsty for a chance to use their gun as a means to assert themselves that there’s no impulse left to review the situation, themselves, or their options.
A 21-year-old woman was fatally shot last weekend in East Oakland by a man, prosecutors say, who had come out of his house mad at "noisy" cars coming down his street late at night, and began randomly shooting at them.

We should withhold judgement until it's determined whether the exhaust system of the decent's vehicle had been modified.
