The refusal to condemn the huge supremacists and the stand by comment seems to be the big ‘moment’ being talked about. It may have appealed to the headbanger element out there but it must have lost him a ton of undecideds. You’d hope so anyways.

The real question is, did Biden do the $750 thing?

No. But Chris wallace did. And Trump said he paid millions in taxes during 2016 and 2017.

Is this not accurate? Didn't he pay millions in differed taxes from previous years in 2016 and 2017? For us normies filing 1040s that doesn't make much sense, but that's truthiness I guess. For fiscal year 2017 I don't imagine he claimed any income other than his Presidential salary.

The tax thing 100% does not matter but I don't know why you'd imagine that.

I guess maybe he didn't "claim" it.

All individuals only file 1040s even if you are President.

His 2005 1040 is readily available online. It's astounding, but I'm a tax professional. so for me it was really juicy lol. He made 9.5 million in interest alone which means he had a spare $300 million to keep in super safe investments.

I'm just curious about why the even $750 for two tax years. I'd love to see the actual 1040s to decipher it. But to answer your question. He definitely had more on his 1040 than just his salary

Income as in payroll taxable. Damn, I used the wrong nomenclature there.

Only 1040s? wut?

Aren't there specialized forms for certain investments? 1040 is not the ONLY form filled by anyone that has a investment portfolio worth shaking a stick at.

Also, you didn't respond to my query about carried over payments adding up to millions for those years. Is that false?

I just realized you meant deferred taxes, not differed. I wasn't sure what you meant there. :o

It sounds like he must have sold some shit businesses for huge losses that carried forward for many years. But I mean HUGE losses. His income added up to 150 million in 2005. So if he continues the same for 7 years, he would have to have claimed a billion dollar loss. Can you imagine even having that much money to lose?

Also in that debate segment he said "the paper said I paid $38 million in taxes in one year"...well that was this 2005 return

I deferred the hell out of some taxes this year. Next year will not be fun.

Well yeah the 1040 has lots of attachment schedules but it all flows into the 10040 and the schedules are just stapled to it. Schedule B has interest and dividends. Schedule D is where you report any capital gain or losses from the sale of investments. Is that what you mean? That all flows into the lines on the 1040.

So, 1040 form (and I'm sure all potential attachment schedules are no big deal) contains all manner of possible investments?

Kneetunes is sus.
