Leading in Iowa and New Hampshire, two key states. Biden’s team must be sweating.

Two of Trump's Republican challengers to debate without him
NEW YORK — Joe Walsh and Bill Weld, two of the three Republicans challenging President Donald Trump for their party's 2020 presidential nomination, are set to meet in a debate on Tuesday, hoping to bring attention to their long-shot candidacies.

Trump will not take part in the event in New York hosted by the website Business Insider, nor will the third candidate seeking the Republican nomination, former South Carolina governor and congressman Mark Sanford.

The debate featuring Walsh, a radio talk-show host and former U.S. congressman from Illinois, and Weld, a former Massachusetts governor, is not sanctioned by the Republican Party, which has thrown its full support behind Trump. Sanford cited a scheduling conflict for missing the event.

Walsh, Weld and Sanford, in a joint article published in the Washington Post this month, called Trump "a serial self-promoter" who is steering the party away from "personal responsibility, fiscal sanity and rule of law."

Trump is expected to coast to victory in his quest for the Republican nomination before facing the Democratic Party's nominee in the November 2020 election. A Sept. 16-20 Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that 82% of registered Republicans approved of Trump's job performance.

Good. She’s don’t a horrible job of giving any clear indication of what it is she stands for, beyond not taking crap from an old white man.

I'm sad that Bernie looks like he may be done. But Warren's rise tells me it was more about the presentation than the substance, so not too sad.

I'd substitute "details" for "presentation."

Everyone's voting for Warren because of her details, which are worse.

I mean I will happily vote for Liz Warren, if she gets the nomination she'll be by far the most progressive and moral presidential candidate of my lifetime. But she's noticably to the right of Bernie. The idea that they only differ insofar as she's more "details oriented" or she has more "plans" is in itself a packaging/presentation question. Her m4a plan is quite literally just Bernie's plan.

I think this is partially because she doesn't really stand for anything beyond her own career.

She's into details and specific plans. Bernie is more about the grand/moral argument. That's what I meant about presentation. I think you need both, and she just has a better balance. Substance is what matters more, and so I'm fine with either.

 Appreciate the clarification. I read your original post as "Warren wears nice clothes and has good diction."

Same poll:

33% of respondents will definitely vote for Trump in the 2020 election.
54% will definitely *not* vote for him.

59% of independents won't vote for him.

If Bernie’s honest with himself, this surgery ends his candidacy. The volume of “fitness for office” takes coming from Republicans, journalists, and hand wringing Democrats will be absolutely overwhelming.

If he were clear sighted enough to drop out tomorrow, he would be ending Biden’s candidacy as well.
